Twenty three:   Justice and Equality

God is a just God.  But man has fornicated with justice. For they have unbalanced the scales and used false weights.  And now God shall repay them for their evil deeds.

On September 11, 2001 the Trade Towers fell, and the beast from the sea was released. (Revelations 13:1-10) And the scales which balance this earth, were weighed down by the sons of perdition. But woe to these oppressors, for “a false balance is an abomination to the Lord.” (Proverbs 11:1) In the infancy of mathematics, the symbol for equality was “ς” for “aequalis”, which in Latin means “equal” or “balanced”. And “a just balance and scales belong to the Lord; all the weights of the bag are His concern.” (Proverbs 16:11) And to simplify the mathematical equation, the symbol of aequalis became two parallel lines | | . And in numerology “11” is the symbol for justice. “For the Lord loves justice and does not forsake His godly ones; they are preserved forever.” (Psalms 37:28) And the mathematician Recorde laid out the equal sign as “=”. For he said the equal sign is a “pair of parallels of one length, because notwo things can be more equal”. (The Whetstone of Witte - Robert Recorde, 1557) And there are no two things that are more equal, that than the equality of His heavenly Kingdom. “The city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as the width; and he measured the city with the rod, fifteen hundred miles; its length and width and height are equal.” (Revelation 21:16)
