Chapter 16: The Trumpets are a Warning

God's people used the trumpet as a warning of their coming.  And Joshua sounded seven trumpets as a warning that the city would come down.  And now the seven angels with seven trumpets sound a warning that earth shall be torn down.

Music transcends our words, for through the voice of the Spirit, the Father can hear our voice. Music is based on chordal harmonics, and the melody of the instrument’s voice. It is also the language of the Holy Spirit, unaltered by the Tower of Babel; for music is the universal language, spoken and heard by all people. And His people used music to rejoice, when they were victorious in battle. (1 Samuel18:6) And music is a means of rejoicing, for God’s loving kindness and faithfulness. (Psalms 92:1-5) For through the music the Spirit intercedes, and transforms our broken language, into prayers that are worthy of the Father, 'for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.' (Romans 8:26) Now that the end is near, the music will stop, and the heavens will be silenced, and the seven trumpets will sound. (Revelation 8:1-11:15) A trumpet is a brass instrument, with a cylindrical tube, that flares into a bell, and produces a resounding tone. The earliest trumpets were signaling instruments, utilized for military or religious purposes. And the typical range for a trumpet, is three octaves or seven overtones. And to trumpet symbolically means to sound a call of warning.
