Chapter 24: Christ Shall Return as the LionChrist came once as the Lamb, but now He shall return as the Lion. And by His just rod, the Lion who is Judge shall pay each man for his deeds.
The lion is called the king of the kingdom, for the lion has great power and strength, the power to destroy and the strength to rule. And those who have served the kings of the earth, they will be subject to the destruction of the Lion. But those who have served the 'King of all King's', they shall receive the strength of the Lion. The Father controls all things, for He controls the destruction of the lion. For 'the terror of a king is like the growling of a lion; He who provokes him to anger forfeits his own life.' (Proverbs 20:2) For did He not kill, the sons who transgressed Him, with the deadly paws of a lion? (1 Kings 20:36) And did He not kill, those who did not fear Him, by the might of the lions jaws? (2 Kings 17:25) But though 'the king's wrath is like the roaring of a lion', 'his favor is like dew on the grass.' (Proverbs 19:12) And the Lord shut the mouth of the lion, when Daniel was thrown in the pit, for it was by his obedience that he was saved. (Daniel 6:22) |
